Improve your drilling team’s preparation and planning for avoiding unscheduled events or accidents.
Pre-spud planning/DWOP sessions have saved hundreds of thousands of dollars -- and in some cases, millions of dollars -- for many companies around the world.
By assembling your entire drilling team for a pre-spud presentation of the well program, you improve planning for avoiding unscheduled events or accidents, such as stuck pipe, well control or loss circulation, while drilling a specific well.
During the course, participants construct a theoretical well, work through each hole section to determine the actual time in which they believe it can be accomplished and review the well plans with respect to the continual improvement process cycle: Plan - Execute - Evaluate. The crew's input and, more importantly, buy-in, invariably lead to a reduction in planned target times.
Depending upon the amount of material to be covered and/or the complexity of the well, this course is presented in a two- or three-day format. Pre-spud Planning can be taught in combination with other courses, such as Target Safety, Leadership Skills and EXTRA Dimension.
